Apart from their performances in the field, some of the cricketers have been in the news for their private lives. Over the years, many cricketers have had rough patches in their marriages, resulting in divorces.

Recently, the Indian leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, got divorced from the choreographer, Dhanashree Verma. Outside of this, the former opening batter, Shikhar Dhawan, was separated from Aesha Mukherjee.

1. Shikhar Dhawan

The former Indian opening batter, Shikhar Dhawan, divorced his wife Aesha Mukherjee after years of marriage. They got married in the year 2012 but were separated in 2021. The court granted a divorce to the couple due to mental cruelty. Their son, Zoravar, stays with both of them after the separation due to personal disagreements.

2. Dinesh Karthik

The current head coach of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Dinesh Karthik, married his friend, Nikita Vanjara, in 2007, before the relationship ended in five years. Nikita’s relationship with the former Indian opener, Murli Karthik, became public.

Karthik later married the squash player, Dipika Pallikal, on August 18, 2015, and welcomed the twin boys, Kabir and Zian, in 2021.

3. Mohammed Shami

The Indian fast bowler, Mohammed Shami, was in the news for the public marriage issues. It arose during his separation with his wife, Hasin Jahan, both of whom decided to divorce after Jahan made accusations of domestic violence against the pacer.

The marriage ended in 10 years as their daughter, Aaira, stayed with them on mutual agreement.

4. Ravi Shastri

Even though the reason for the separation is still not known, the former Indian head coach, Ravi Shastri, got divorced from his wife, Ritu Singh, after 22 years of their marriage in 2012. They had their daughter, Alekha, in 2008.

5. Hardik Pandya

The Indian pace bowling all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, declared his separation from his wife, Natasha Stankovic, in July last year, which made huge news on social media.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, they had a secret wedding in the lockdown and welcomed their first child, son Agastya, in the same year in July. They also had a lavish wedding function in 2023 before the relationship ended last year due to various reasons.

6. Vinod Kambli

The former flamboyant southpaw batter, Vinod Kambli, left his first wife, Noella Lewis, in the early 1990s. Due to personal differences in their hobbies, they faced challenges. Later, he married fashion model Andrea Hewitt and had a son together.

However, two years ago, Andrea filed a police complaint for Kambli’s violence before the batter was admitted to the hospital due to his illness.

7. Mohammad Azharuddin

The former Indian captain, Mohammad Azharuddin, married Naureen in 1987 and gave birth to two sons, Mohammad Ayazuddin and Asaduddin. Nine years later, he separated from his wife and married the film actress, Sangeeta Biljani.

However, this relationship also ended in 2010 as the actress filed for divorce, based on the batter’s rumored affairs with several women.

The former Indian fast bowler, Javagal Srinath, left his first wife in 2007 after eight years of marriage, Jyothsna, due to personal issues.

He later got into a new relationship and married the journalist, Madhavi Patravali, and decided to maintain a low-profile life.

9. Yuzvendra Chahal

The Indian spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, recently got divorced from Dhanashree Verma after their issues them. They had a very good time together for the first three years before deciding to get separated recently, just before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

10. Manoj Prabhakar

The all-rounder and coach, Manoj Prabhakar, separated from his first wife, Sandhya, in 2013. She gave an accusation of dowry and harassment before marrying actress Farheen. However, he went on to lead a stable second marriage with two sons.
