Just like the Delhi Capitals, the Mumbai Indians (MI) can also divide the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 into two halves. They began the event with a defeat against the Chennai Super Kings before earning just one win in the first five fixtures.
However, there was a huge turnaround in the tournament with six successive victories this season. Rohit Sharma, the former captain and opener, impressed with a few big shots and got back into the runs. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya brought new dynamics to the clash.
Meanwhile, the biggest energetic moment of the side was the return of the premier pacer, Jasprit Bumrah. Suryakumar Yadav, the middle-order batter of the franchise, displayed a consistent performance with the bat in hand.
Along with Bumrah, the plan for the Mumbai Indians was to use both Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar with the new ball in the powerplay, which would have helped them to pick up early wickets with the new ball. They are currently in the fourth position of the points table with seven wins in 12 games at a net run-rate of +1.156 and may qualify with another win over the Delhi Capitals.
Here are the three Indian players from the Mumbai Indians who can make their international debut after the IPL 2025
1. Naman Dhir
The top-order batter of the Mumbai Indians, Naman Dhir, has contributed runs in various parts of the game. There was one occasion when the Blue Brigade lost a few wickets in the first few overs, and Dhir made a difference with a fiery half-century against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekhana Stadium.

During this season of the IPL, Naman has cracked 162 runs in eight innings at an average of 32.40 and a strike rate of 172.34.
The Mumbai Indians’ batter could make an early appearance for the national side in the future.
2. Ashwani Kumar
Since his arrival in the Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians’ pacer, Ashwani Kumar, has made a huge impact with the ball, especially in the first overs of the innings with the new ball.
In just four innings of the IPL 2025, Ashwani has claimed eight wickets at an average of 16.62 and a strike rate of nine with an economy rate of just over 11. During his first game against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, Ashwani bowled with pace to break the top order of the defending champions.

Most of the Mumbai pacers have done well for the national side, and Ashwani could be the next bowler to make his debut for India in the future.
3. Raj Bawa
During the U-19 ODI World Cup in 2022, Raj Bawa was a vital member of the Indian side in winning the campaign. The right-handed batter has cracked 308 T20 runs in 16 innings at an average of 23.69 and a strike rate of 127.27, thanks to one half-century at the best score of 61 runs.
This season for the Mumbai Indians, he got just one chance and couldn’t face a single delivery. Bawa is just 22 years old and has the age on his side to make his debut in the future after this IPL 2025.
