In this IPL 2025, the Gujarat Titans (GT) are the most powerful and balanced franchise with a solid opening partnership. Both their captain, Shubman Gill, and the southpaw, Sai Sudharsan, have paired them for so many runs for the first wicket.
Jos Buttler, coming at number three, has stretched the advantage with more classical knocks. Shah Rukh Khan and Sherfane Rutherford have also contributed to the middle order whenever required.
Meanwhile, their bowling department is also solid in the presence of the veteran Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj and Proteas’ Kagiso Rabada. They signed the tall and lanky pacer, Prasidh Krishna, to extract the stiff bounce off the surface, besides carrying the premier spinner, Rashid Khan.
In Rashid’s form, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore has stepped up on many occasions. On the other hand, when Rababa flew back home, the Gujarat Titans had the luxury of using Ishant Sharma’s experience in the line-up.

Under Gill, the Gujarat Titans have already qualified for the playoffs. However, they hope to win the last group-stage encounter, and a few results to go in their favor.
Here are the four players Gujarat Titans will retain for IPL 2026
1. Shubman Gill
The Gujarat Titans’ captain, Shubman Gill, is the second-leading run-getter of the edition. He has cracked 636 runs in just 13 innings at an average of 57.81 and a strike rate of 156.65, thanks to six half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 93 runs.
Gill started a few knocks on the slower note but picked up the pace in the later stages of the game. At the Eden Gardens, against the Kolkata Knight Riders, when the surface was a bit slow, he didn’t play any rash shot and shouldered the responsibility of tackling the two premier KKR spinners.
Even in the field, he was on point of using the pacers in various situations and providing them the freedom to express their strong zone.
2. Sai Sudharsan
The left-handed Gujarat Titans’ opener, Sai Sudharsan, came out as an out-of-syllabus for most of the opposition. He is the leading run-getter of the IPL 2025 with 638 runs in 13 innings at an average of 53.16 and a strike rate of 155.99, with five fifties and one century.
Before the start of the season, no one predicted Sudharsan to display their powerful batting and smash the bowlers around the park. But he never looked to use his power and was always stable at the crease.
Sudharsan has also been a consistent performer for the franchise at the opening position. They will surely look to retain the youngster for the IPL 2026.
3. Jos Buttler
The cheat code for the Gujarat Titans’ success in IPL 2025 is their top three. Along with Sudharsan and Gill, the former white-ball captain of the England side has also contributed, with over 500 runs this year.
The right-handed batter has notched up 533 runs in 12 innings at an average of 66.62 and a strike rate of 165.01, thanks to five half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 97 runs.

Buttler is another experienced T20 campaigner who offers wicket-keeping skills to the side. Gujarat will look to retain the veteran for the IPL 2026.
4. Prasidh Krishna
The tall, fast bowler, Prasidh Krishna, has the height, and he used it perfectly to earn success with the ball. Krishna is the joint leading wicket-taker of the season with 21 scalps in 13 innings at an economy rate of 8.09.
His average is under 20, which proves how he has gone for runs in very few occasion. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Krishna showed his value with timely wickets, both in the powerplay and death overs.
Gujarat Titans may not think twice to retain the fast bowler for IPL 2026.
