Nearly a decade ago, the former New Zealand player, Martin Crowe, coined the phrase, Fab 4, for four international players, Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root. He predicted the four players to set the stage on fire in world cricket for the next 10 years, and he has proved to be right.
But with time rolling, it’s a chance to look forward beyond the four players. Several quality young players have come to the international stage to grow further in their careers. A few players across the world have translated their performances at the highest level.
Among this huge list of players, here is a look at the probable Fab 4 in the future.
4 Players Who Can Become The Next Fab 4
1. Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal has already cracked the longest format with 1798 runs in 36 Test innings at an average of 53 and a strike rate of 65.66, scoring four centuries and 10 half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 214 runs.

Even in the shortest format of the game, the left-handed batter has drilled 723 runs in 22 innings at an average of 36.15 and a strike rate of 164.31, thanks to five fifties and one century at the best score of 100 runs. It won’t be long before Jaiswal starts to play the ODI format for India in the future.
If he can hold his shape in the next five to six years, Jaiswal can be one of the members of the Fab 4.
2. Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill is addressed as the future of Indian cricket to replace Virat Kohli. The right-handed batter has not done well in the longest format with 1893 runs in 59 innings at an average of 35.05 and a strike rate of nearly 60, shouldering on five centuries and seven half-centuries at the best score of 128 runs.
But there is hardly any comparison at this stage of a career with Gill in the ODI format. The Punjab-born has drilled 2775 runs in 55 innings at an average of around 60 and a strike rate of 100, thanks to eight centuries and 15 half-centuries at the best score of 208.
He can surely be a part of the Fab 4 if he continues his prime form in the future.
3. Harry Brook
The England batter, Harry Brook, has done a great job with the bat in the longest format in his career. In just 40 red-ball innings, the right-handed batter has clubbed 2281 runs at an average of 58.48 and a strike rate of 88.37, shouldering eight centuries and 10 half-centuries at the best score of 317 runs against Pakistan.
England doesn’t use him in the ODI and the shortest formats. In the 50-over format, Brook has nailed 816 runs in 26 innings at an average of 34 and a strike rate of 100.74, thanks to five fifties and one century at the best score of unbeaten 110 runs.

In 37 T20I innings, he has 798 runs at a strike rate of 146.15 with four fifties. In a Fab 4 among the Test batters, Brook is undoubtedly a part of the group. But he has comparatively done enough to get into the Fab 4 across formats.
4. Rachin Ravindra
The 25-year-old Kiwi batter Rachin Ravindra’s talent is impressive. His technique against the spinners has been sound, which has helped him to earn success around the world, especially in Asia.
In 15 Tests, Ravindra has scored 1057 runs at an average of 37.75 with two centuries and four fifties. For 29 ODIs, the left-handed batter has clubbed 1233 runs at an average of 44 and a strike rate of 109.21. He can get near the three other players shortly. But certainly, he could be a part of the Fab 4.
