5 Players Who Can Break The Record For The Most 100s In IPL

Virat Kohli is at the top of the table when it comes to most centuries in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The leading run-getter of the season with 8509 runs in 255 innings has celebrated eight centuries in the event with 62 half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 113 runs.

In the future, when the veteran retires from the league, it will provide a chance to the youngsters, especially the Indians, to cross the landmark of most hundreds in the 20-over competition.

Here is a list of five players who can break the record for the most 100s in the IPL

1. Shubman Gill

The Gujarat Titans captain, Shubman Gill, is the future of Indian cricket. He has already smacked four centuries with 3681 runs in 110 innings at an average of nearly 40 and a strike rate of 140. With age on his side, he will get a long opportunity to show his skills with the bat in the future.

The Punjab-born is in tremendous touch this year with 465 runs to be the sixth-highest run-getter of the season in 10 innings at an average of 51.66 and a strike rate of 162.02, having on five half-centuries at the best score of 90.

2. Jos Buttler

Jos Buttler is the only overseas player who can break the record for most IPL 100s in the future. The England wicket-keeper batter has notched up seven centuries in 116 innings to collect 4052 runs at an average of 40.52 and a strike rate of 149.74.

There have been many instances of the veteran coming into the middle, soaking the pressure, and delivering a classical knock to win the game for his side. In 2025, the right-handed batter has collected 470 runs in 10 innings at 78.33 and a strike rate of 169.06, with five fifties.

3. KL Rahul

One of the consistent members of the league with the bat in hand is KL Rahul, who is scoring over 450+ runs almost every year for his franchise, which is a huge bonus. The right-handed batter has accumulated 5054 runs in 132 innings at an average of 45.94 and a strike rate of 135.38, thanks to four centuries and 40 fifties.

This year, playing for the Delhi Capitals, the former captain has scored 371 runs in nine innings at an average of 38 and a strike rate of 146.06, notching three half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 93 runs.

4. Yashasvi Jaiswal

An opener always gets the most chances to score centuries in the shortest format, having played more deliveries in the entire inning. Jaiswal has celebrated two centuries during 64 innings for 2080 runs at an average of 34.09 and a strike rate of 151.49, with 14 fifties.

This year, the Southpaw is in excellent touch to be the fourth leading run-getter with 473 runs in 12 innings at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 154.57, thanks to five centuries at the best score of 75.

5. Rutiuraj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad is in the tenth position with two centuries in the IPL with two centuries in the IPL with 2502 runs in 70 innings at an average of 40.35 and a strike rate of 137.47, thanks to 20 half-centuries.

Gaikwad is missing the IPL 2025 with an injury. Being just 28 years old, he has the age on his side and will get ample chances to break the record for most IPL centuries.
