1. When MS Dhoni entered the field to challenge the on-field umpire in IPL 2019

The entire cricket fraternity, including his teammates, was stunned when the Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni, entered the field during the IPL 2019 season in Jaipur to argue with the umpires about a no-ball.

Chennai, needing 18 runs off the final over against Rajasthan Royals, were in a do-or-die situation. Ben Stokes went for a six off the first ball. With eight runs needed in three balls, he bowled a full-toss, and the on-field umpire, despite stretching his right hand to signal a no-ball, refused to call it at the end.

In the middle of the over, an angry Dhoni walked out to speak with the umpires. Later, he apologized, knowing he was not allowed to do that.

2. When MS Dhoni shouted at non-striker Manish Pandey in 2018

One of the best qualities for any partner with Dhoni in the middle is that the veteran always looks for a quick single. That is why his partner must always be quick and active in the middle.

It was the game from Centurion in 2018 when Manish Pandey was on the wrong end. During their strong 98-run stand, Dhoni shouted at Manish for not helping him convert the single into a double.

On the first ball of the penultimate over, Pandey got a single off the first ball. But Dhoni expected a second to happen. Despite his call for the second run, Pandey did not because he was not paying any attention to the former captain.

However, he got a chance to bowl the 19th over in the clash against Punjab, who needed 39 runs to get over the line. But the Rajasthan-born bowled successive no-balls to frustrate the captain.
