Asia Cup 2025 Schedule Confirmed; More India vs Pakistan Matches Fixed

Since the Asia Cup 2025 tentative schedule has been revealed, the India and Pakistan national cricket teams may play three additional matches this year. The competition is scheduled to take place in September, according to rumors on Cricbuzz.

Up to 19 games will be contested in the Asia Cup 2025, which will be played in the T20 format. According to the rumors, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has set the event for later this year, between the second and fourth week of September.

The Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), however, it will not take place in India.

India to retain hosting rights, but Asia Cup to be played at a neutral venue

According to sources, India and Pakistan reached an agreement before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is played using a hybrid model, which is why the ACC has chosen to hold the event at a neutral location.

When it comes time for either the BCCI or the PCB to host the event, it will take place in a neutral nation, according to the ACC's document. The United Arab Emirates, which is presently hosting India's ICC matches, and Sri Lanka are the two potential locations for the 2025 Asia Cup.

To avoid any controversy surrounding the India and Pakistan teams' refusal to visit each other's nations, the ACC decided to conduct the Asia Cup 2025 at a neutral location. Since the last several events, particularly during the Asia Cup 2023 and the present ICC Champions Trophy 2025, this has been taking place.

India and Pakistan will be placed in the same group

The Asia Cup 2025 will include eight teams in total. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong. Due to their failure to qualify for this edition, Nepal, who participated in the previous Asia Cup, will not be participating in this event.

The Asia Cup will follow the same format, with eight teams split into two groups. Pakistan and India will be grouped together. From each group, the top two teams advance to the Super Four stage. The top two teams on the table will compete in the final during that phase.

4 Tournaments till 2031

Fans get a fantastic opportunity to watch India vs. Pakistan play three times during the Asia Cup. In the group stage, the Super Four round, and perhaps the final as well, the two teams will face off against one another. The two teams faced each other twice in the most recent Asia Cup.

There will be four Asia Cups till 2031. Following the 2025 edition, the PCB will host the 2027 edition in a neutral nation, with 13 ODI matches in Bangladesh and 19 T20 matches hosted by a different nation. Lastly, Sri Lanka will host the 2031 edition in the 13-game ODI format.
