On Thursday, May 22, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the 16-member India Under-19 team for the forthcoming trip to England. The team for the England tour includes IPL 2025 sensations Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre.

The Chennai Super Kings' Ayush Mhatre has been selected as the India Under-19 captain for the England tour, with Abhigyan Kundu serving as his backup. The Indian squad will play England Under-19 in two multi-day matches and a five-match Youth One-Day series.

Mhatre joined CSK as an injury substitute, making him one of the IPL 2025 finds. In just six games thus far, he has amassed 206 runs at an average of 34.33 and a strike rate of 187.27, including a half-century. In his brief time with CSK, the youthful player has hit 28 fours and eight sixes.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, meanwhile, has been a phenomenon this season, much like Mhatre. He made his season debut in the middle of the season and participated in seven games, amassing a century and a fifty while scoring 252 runs at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.55.

This season, Suryavanshi broke records at will by hitting the fastest century in an Indian in IPL off 34 balls. He also became the youngest ever to score a century in T20s and IPL at 14 years old.
