Babar Azam, the premier Pakistan batter, was brutally mocked by Iceland Cricket after the ace batter’s poor form continued in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025). Playing for Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam has scores of 0, 1, and 2 in the 3 games he has played.
Iceland Cricket, which is known for its witty social media posts, brutally mocked star batter Babar Azam following his disappointing performances.
Babar has seen bad times off late
Babar, the Peshawar Zalmi skipper, had another dismal performance in the PSL 2025 against Multan Sultans on April 19. He was removed for two runs off five balls after Zalmi elected to bat first at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Babar was left out of Pakistan's T20I team during their recent tour of New Zealand. He preserved his place in the ODI squad but was left out of the T20I squad. The upcoming Pakistan Super League 2025 is a critical opportunity for Babar to impress selectors and reclaim a berth in the T20I team.
“Form is permanent”- Iceland Cricket’s huge roast to Babar Azam
In the third over of Peshawar Zalmi's innings, left-arm bowler David Willey dismissed Babar Azam leg before wicket. The former Pakistan skipper was heavily trolled on social media, with the Iceland Cricket team criticizing his performance with a funny remark.
"Class is temporary, form is permanent," Iceland Cricket wrote while reacting to a video of Babar's dismissal in the recent game.

In PSL 2025, Babar Azam has encountered problems from left-arm pacers, with all three of his dismissals coming against them. Mohammad Amir removed him for a duck off only two balls in the opening match against Quetta Gladiators. The first hitter smacked the ball into short cover.
Babar scored just one run before being dismissed by Ben Dwarshuis in the next match against Islamabad United. Jason Holder caught him at slips after edging the delivery. The 30-year-old hitter is under increasing strain after three consecutive failures against left-arm fast bowlers.
Peshawar Zalmi win by 120 runs against Multan Sultans despite Babar’s failures
Peshawar Zalmi recovered from a terrible start in their PSL 2025 match against Multan Sultans. They lost openers Babar Azam and Saim Ayub early, but the middle order enabled the squad to score a whopping 227 runs. Their bowlers dismissed Multan for 107 runs, securing a 120-run victory.
This was Peshawar's first victory of the season, following losses to Quetta and Islamabad United. They are presently ranked fifth in the points table.
