Chetan Sharma To Launch 5-Team Asian Legends League From This Date

The former Indian pacer, Chetan Sharma, has decided to launch a new Asian Legends League from the next month of this year. The tournament will take place in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
The five-team league called the Asian Legends League (ALL T20), will run from March 10 to 19, with some of the finest former p/layers participating across Asia. All the games will take place in the T20 format.

The five participating teams for the Asian Legends League T20 from the continent are the Indian Royals, Sri Lankan Lions, Bangladesh Tigers, Afghanistan Pathans, and the Rest of Asian Stars.

“The ALL T20 is more than just a cricket league - it's a celebration of retired Asian cricketers coming together. The league gives fans an exciting opportunity to watch legends from all corners of Asia compete in a country-versus-country clash.” The league commissioner, Chetan Sharma, expressed in a statement.
Chetan Sharma enjoyed a successful career with the Indian side, thanks to his 61 Test wickets in 39 innings at an average of 35.45 and a strike rate of 56.80, with the help of four five-wicket hauls and a couple of four-wicket hauls at the best bowling figure of 6/58 in an innings.
In 63 ODI innings, Chetan Sharma celebrated 67 scalps at an average of 34.86 and a strike rate of 42.3, thanks to the best figure of 3/22 in an inning.
ALL T20 League to feature Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Herschelle Gibbs in this role
As the release of the Asian Legends League T20 states, the selection of the teams will be through the player draft, which will take place on February 15 in New Delhi.
Only registered players will be part of the draft for the respective teams. Herschelle Gibbs from South Africa and West Indies Shivnarine Chanderpaul, along with Marvan Atapattu from Sri Lanka, will take part in this tournament as coaches.
Gibbs will monitor the Bangladesh Tigers, while Chanderpaul will look after the Afghanistan Pathans. Atapattu will be after the Asian Stars in the league. Chetan Sharma is expected to be present on the opening day of the league.

“A star-studded lineup of legends from these countries will feature in the tournament.” The press release addressed that all of the matches will take place at the Miraj International Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
