The well-known former opening batter of the Australian side, David Warner has carried a huge admiration for the Telugu film industry. He is set to make his big-screen debut in Tollywood in the upcoming few months.

Over the years, Warner has entertained the fans with his social media moves of the Telugu movies, and now, the long-standing wish of the Indian supporters could finally come true. The southpaw has already announced his retirement from international cricket at the start of the last year.

Australia’s former opening batter is set to make a big-screen debut and could be seen in a special cameo in Robinhood, an adventurous comedy starring Nithin. The producer, Ravi Shankar, confirmed the exciting news during the promotional event for Kingston in Hyderabad.

Venky Kudumula will direct the film, which promises to be an entertaining ride, and Warner’s presence will add an extra dose of excitement for both cricket and cinema lovers. The reports suggest that the batter received an offer of a whopping price of INR 1 crore per day of shooting for his role.

Tollywood will welcome him to the silver screen as the fans are waiting for the cricket-turned actor. Following the announcement, Warner’s fans flooded the social media with excitement to see the player stepping into the Indian cinema.

David Warner’s successful career for Australia

David Warner finished his 50-over career for Australia with 6932 runs to finish as the sixth leading run-getter in 159 innings at an average of 45.30 and a strike rate of 97.26, shouldering on 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries at the best score of 179 runs.

In the shortest format of the game, David Warner was the highest run-scorer for his national side with 3277 runs in 110 innings at an average of 33.43 and a strike rate of 142.37, with the help of one century and 28 half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 100 runs.

The New South Wales batter ended his Test career as the fifth-highest run-getter with 8786 runs in 205 innings at an average of 44.59 and a strike rate of 70.19, thanks to 26 centuries and 37 half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 335 runs.

In the case of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Australian batter is still the fourth-highest run-getter as most of his success came for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The aggressive batter dashed 6565 runs in 184 innings at an average of 40.52 and a strike rate of nearly 140, thanks to 62 half-centuries and four centuries.
