Hassan Ali has accused the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of bias and favoritism for Saim Ayub's medical care following his injuries sustained during the South Africa tour. Ali said that no other player would receive the same treatment as Saim Ayub and accused PCB of being biased.

Before the 2025 Champions Trophy, Ayub was seen as a crucial member of Pakistan's team. All of Pakistan's plans were derailed, though, by the opener's injury during the Test series in South Africa, leaving them scrambling to find a replacement for the opening position.

Saim Ayub got injured in South Africa

During the second Test match against South Africa in Cape Town, Saim Ayub regrettably sustained an injury. Ayub and Aamer Jamal sprinted for a chase to the deep third boundary after Ryan Rickelton edged a ball through the slips.

Ayub stood there to serve as the relay fielder when Jamal drew the ball back in. However, the child twisted his ankle after losing his equilibrium. As the team physio hurried to his aid, he collapsed in excruciating pain, clutching the bottom of his leg.

He had to be stretchered off the ground after prolonged treatment. Later, it was found that he had injured his right ankle. He was later seen in crutches. Saim was further sent for treatment to London alongside assistant coach Azhar Mahmood.

"You're giving VVIP Treatment to Saim Ayub”- Hassan Ali accuses PCB of bias

On the 'Ultra Edge' YouTube podcast, Hasan Ali discussed how PCB treats its players. Ayub is receiving VVIP treatment, according to Hasan, but he questioned why he wasn't receiving the same attention while he was a regular team member.

"Saim Ayub is injured. He is the player of your team. Wasn't I a member of the team in 2020? If another player gets injured, won't he be a member of the team? Does he play from India? You're giving VVIP Treatment to Saim Ayub. If someone gets injured in the future, would you give him the same treatment? No, you won't. So, what have you done here?" Ali said.

Hasan opens a new Pandora's box

Ayub was also blessed with good health by Hasan Ali, but he questioned whether the child would receive the same care if he were to sustain another injury in the future.

"May God give him health and fitness, and may he win a lot of matches for Pakistan. But every rise has a fall. If Saim Ayub gets injured again, will they treat him the same? No, they won't," said Hasan.
