India head coach Gautam Gambhir, known for his outspoken attitude, responded to accusations of a schism within the team during their previous Border-Gavaskar Trophy trip to Australia. Gautam Gambhir has issued a harsh warning to Rohit Sharma and the rest of the squad to avoid dressing room leaks at the Champions Trophy.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented a new ten-point guideline to improve discipline, unity, and the overall team environment. This policy will be imposed beginning with the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. This action is in response to reports of a "divided team environment" in Australia.
Gautam Gambhir Warns Rohit Sharma and Other Team India Players
According to RevSportz, Team India met at a hotel in Mumbai before traveling to Dubai, where Gautam Gambhir instructed players to keep dressing room discussions private.
Following the disclosures in Australia, Gautam Gambhir stressed the need to maintain tight confidentiality among the group.
"Before coming to Dubai, the players assembled at a hotel in Mumbai, where according to sources, Gambhir’s team talk centered around how even a whisper shouldn’t go out of the dressing room. After the leak’s controversy in Australia, a foolproof measure has become the need of the hour. After landing in Dubai, India straightway decided to train from 1 pm local time on Sunday. There’s no time to waste," the RevSportz report read.
