Residents and cricket fans alike were surprised by the huge demand for tickets to the headline match.
"I anticipated a long queue, but the speed at which tickets vanished was shocking. By the time I secured my place, only two categories remained, both beyond my budget,” Sudhashree, a Dubai resident, was quoted by NDTV.
Fans anxiously stood for nearly an hour, only to discover that tickets for the India-Pakistan match had sold out in almost every category, including the Dh 2000 (about INR 47,434) Platinum and Dh 5,000 (roughly Rs 1.8 lakh INR) Grand Lounge sections.

With the Dubai International Cricket Stadium seating 25,000 people, the frenzy for tickets underscored the game's enormous popularity and significance.
Historically, an India-Pakistan match has not only electrified the cricket world but also sparked economic activity.
Anticipating a boost in visitor numbers, industry experts expected increased activity in the hospitality, transport, and tourism sectors, with higher hotel bookings and soaring airfares as fans from both countries descend on Dubai for the event.
