ICC Reveals Player Of Month Nominees For March 2025!! One Indian Selected

The International Cricket Council has revealed the list of the three players who have received nominations for the Player of the Month award in March 2025. Two New Zealand players and one Indian player have made the list after their golden performance in the Champions Trophy 2025.
The Blue Brigade earned the ICC title against the Kiwis in the final as they chased down the score at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, thanks to the captain Rohit Sharma’s 76 runs in 93 balls.
ICC names New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy as the first contender for the award
The Blackcaps pacer, Jacob Duffy, has enjoyed a spectacular March after his incredible performance in the five-match T20I series at home against Pakistan. He was the leading wicket-taker in the Black Caps’ 4-1 series win over the Green Brigade, as he claimed 13 wickets at an average of 8.38 and an economy rate of 6.17.

His performances included a fiery career-best 4/14 in the opening fixture against the sub-continent side at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, besides another four-wicket haul (4/20) in the fourth encounter in Mount Maunganui. This made him a tough ask for the batters throughout the series.
His outstanding run of form saw him get to the top spot in the ICC Men’s T20 bowling rankings. He also struck twice in the first game against Pakistan at the end of last month, finishing with 15 scalps in six games during the month.
Shreyas Iyer is the only Indian to get rewarded
The Indian middle-order batter played a key role in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. He accumulated 172 runs in three games in March, averaging 57.33 and a strike rate of 77.47, finishing as the top-scorer for the blue brigade during the competition.
His contributions were so essential for the side’s unbeaten run. Iyer’s best score of 79 runs came against the Blackcaps in the group-stage fixture. He also put up a gritty knock of 45 runs against Australia in the semifinal and a composed 48 during the final against the Kiwis to help the Blue Brigade win the title.
The Mumbai-born has a superb ability to anchor the innings and build partnerships. This was instrumental in guiding the side in crunch moments throughout the campaign.
Rachin Ravindra becomes the second New Zealand player nominated for the ICC award for March 2025
The left-handed middle-order batter of the New Zealand side, Rachin Ravindra, has stood out with his all-around ability. He made their way to the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
During the three ODIs in March, the southpaw nailed 151 runs at an average of 50.33 at an impressive strike rate of 106.33, besides carrying an excellent economy rate of 4.66 to pick up three wickets in the encounter.
His tournament-defining innings came in the semifinal against the Proteas, which he stood with a string knock of 108 runs- his second century of the competition, stitching a vital 164-run stand with Kane Williamson that helped them put the highest-ever total in the eight-team tournament.

With the ball, Ravindra maintained pressure through his economical spells, which converted into wickets in each of the three ODIs. In the ongoing Indian Premier League for the Chennai Super Kings, he has continued the same show with the bat.
The ICC, through the voting process, will decide the winner of the Player of the Month award for March 2025.
