Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have enjoyed a slight advantage over the Delhi Capitals (DC) with a lead of 3-2 in the last five encounters. The 2020- runners-up of the tournament will hope to equal the numbers during the DC vs LSG clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

When it comes to the first six overs of the innings in the last season of the tournament, LSG had the second-worst strike rate of 130.95 in the powerplay, thanks to 660 runs in 14 innings at an average of 25.38, shouldering on 77 boundaries and 26 over boundaries.

They also lost the third most wickets (26) in this period, which never allowed their batters to break free in the first six overs. The pressure was always on the middle order to provide the firepower against the spinners.

Delhi, on the other hand, was phenomenal in the first six overs as they had the second-best strike rate of 168.45 in 14 innings, thanks to 849 runs at an average of 30.32. Even though they kept losing wickets regularly against the new ball, it didn’t affect their power hitting much in the encounters.

The Capitals clubbed 46 sixes in the period, which was the second-best of the period. One of the biggest reasons behind that was their opener, Jake Fraser-McGurk, who was fearless with his approach to nailing the big shots.
