The previous DC vs. SRH encounter, which took place in 2019 at the DR. Y. S. Rajasekhara ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, was in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play in the afternoon of the IPL 2025. Delhi will hope for the same result.

One of the biggest issues for both franchises in the last encounter of the IPL 2025 was their death overs’ bowling. Delhi was 148/6 in 15 overs as they looked to chase 210 runs in 20 overs. Ashutosh Sharma was the only batter to shoulder the responsibility for the 2020 runners-up, but Lucknow failed to stop the right-handed batter.

Prince Yadav, coming to bowl the 16th over, went for 20 runs as Nigam nailed him for 20 runs, consisting of three boundaries and one six. Dinesh Rathi came back to send back Nigam on the first ball of the 17th over before Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Mitchell Starc in the 18th over.

But Ashutosh Sharma was on a mission in the evening as he kept on nailing the sixes and finally carried the Capitals over the line by one wicket in the 210-run chase. Rishabh Pant used a lot of spinners in the death overs during the last game. The Capitals hope to get the same contribution from Ashutosh in the DC vs SRH encounter.

For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it was a very poor last five overs of the innings for the Rajasthan Royals. Harshal Patel bowled a very good 16th over before Shubham Dubey and Shimron Hetmyer punished Pat Cummins for three sixes in the following over.

They nailed Adam Zampa for two sixes and a few boundaries to collect 22 runs. Cummins used the slowed ball perfectly in his very next over and went for 15 runs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad side leaked 73 runs in the last five overs, which would be a huge concern for the franchise going into the DC vs SRH clash.

If they bowl first, then the pressure will be on the batting department to chase down the score. Mohammad Shami, the veteran bowler, looks to develop his skills in the contest.
