The Gujarat Titans (GT) are coming into the clash against the inform Delhi Capitals (DC) after their second IPL 2025 defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Gujarat got a nice break for nearly a week to recharge their batteries before a few successive games in the edition.
The Shubman Gill-led side is currently in the second position in the points table with four wins and two defeats in six encounters at a net run rate of +0.672.
With the recent injury of Glenn Phillips, they need to think about their overseas department, as they are currently going with just three foreigners. They, however, have the option of getting Gerald Coetzee in the eleven.
GT will face the Delhi Capitals in their upcoming afternoon fixture on April 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
IPL 2025: GT Playing XI vs DC- Match 35
Openers- Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan
GT has done well with their opening partnership. Even in the previous game at the Ekana Stadium, they put up 120 runs for the very first wicket, but the question is whether that’s aggressive enough to get the advantage.

Sai Sudharsan, who nailed 56 runs in just 37 deliveries at a strike rate of 151.35, thanks to seven boundaries and one six, is currently the second-leading run-getter of the IPL 2025. The southpaw has clubbed 329 runs in six innings, shouldering on four fifties.
The captain of the franchise, Shubman Gill, is at the 15th rank on the list with 208 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 149.64. In the last game, he scored 60 runs in 38 balls at a strike rate of 157.89.
Middle order- Jos Buttler (wk). Washington Sundar, Sherfane Rutheford, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia/Karim Janat
Jos Buttler struggled in the last game with 16 runs in 14 games, but he will love the Ahmedabad surface, which helps the batters to play their shots. The ball might hold onto the surface because of the heat in the afternoon. He is the side’s second-highest run-getter of the season with 218 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 157.97.
Washington Sundar was one of the members of the entire flop middle order for GT. Despite being 120/0 in 12 overs, they ended with 180/6 in their allotted 20 overs, getting just 60 runs in the last eight overs. They kept on losing wickets regularly and never got the firepower.
In place of Rahul Tewatia, who hasn’t contributed much with the ball or bat this season, the management may look to bring Jayant Yadav or Karim Janat in the side.
Bowlers- Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna (Impact)
One of the reasons for the Titans to do well this season is Mohammed Siraj taking wickets in the powerplay with the new ball. But in the last contest, he had a rare tough game, finishing with 0/50 in four overs.
Prasidh Krishna will be valuable on the track by using the stiff bounce. In the last game, he ended with figures of 2/26 in four overs. Rashid Khan continues to go through a flop season.
