Arshad Khan’s first and the fifth over of the innings leaked all the momentum for the Titans as they gave away 21 runs, including two boundaries and one six.

Punjab finished with 73/2 in the first six overs of the innings, and that’s where the Titans will hope to do well in the GT vs MI encounter.

MI’s performance in the powerplay overs vs CSK in IPL 2025

The left-arm pacer of the New Zealand side, Trent Boult, defending 155 runs in the second innings against the Chennai Super Kings, gave away just five runs in the opening over. Deepak Chahar started well with a boundary on the very second delivery.

The CSK captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, gave away two boundaries in the third over before he showed more aggression in the innings with a boundary and a six in the fourth over. In Hardik Pandya's absence, Satyanarayan Raju bowled the fifth over and leaked 13 runs.

Mumbai was smashed for 62/1 in the first six overs of the innings. They aim to do better in the GT vs MI fixture to provide them with a stable start with the ball. Hardik Pandya, returning for the game, may also handle the new ball in the powerplay.
