But, amidst the struggle of the middle order, Captain Shreyas Iyer stood tall and smashed an unbeaten 97-run knock in 42 balls at a strike rate of 230.95.

Shashank Singh also provided them the firepower at the death overs with an undefeated knock of 44 runs in just 16 balls at a strike rate of 275. Gujarat was in the chase during the second innings before Vijaykumar Vyshak, coming as an impact player, made the difference with perfect execution of wide yorkers between the 14th and 16th over of the inning.
