Kolkata managed 60 runs in the powerplay of the opening IPL 2025 fixture against RCB for the loss of two wickets. Rahane, the KKR captain, drilled a few big shots against Rasikh Salam and Yash Dayal, while Sunil Narine also enjoyed the conditions pretty well to thump the ball out of the park.
In the run-fest against the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Rajasthan claimed 77 runs for the loss of three wickets in the powerplay of the second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal found leaping Abhinav Manohar at the point region, while Riyan Parag and Nitish Rana could not contribute either.
It was impact player Sanju Samson and wicket-keeper, Dhruv Jurel, who changed the entire equation with some big shots. They hope to continue the same golden performance in the RR vs KKR fixture.
