Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fell a step short of winning their second title in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. For the second consecutive time, they lost the battle against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But they will hope to start fresh in the SRH vs RR clash in the 2025 edition.
Sunrisers are slightly ahead of the Royals with a winning lead of 11-9 in the history of the league. In the last four clashes, they lost just once against the inaugural champions.
The biggest advantage for the Hyderabad-based side was their crucial opening partnership in the first six overs of the last season. They smashed 1022 runs in 16 innings at an average of 35.24 in the powerplay at a strike rate of 177.43, the highest among all the ten franchises.

Rajasthan didn’t do well in the department, with just 740 runs in 15 innings at an average of 38.95. Their strike rate of 137.04 is the third lowest in the IPL 2024. They won’t have Jos Buttler's services for the new season for the SRH vs RR clash.
The biggest difference between the two franchises was the number of sixes. Hyderabad, thanks to Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, clubbed 59 over boundaries in the first six overs of the innings, while Royals smacked just 19 sixes in this period. SRH lost 29 wickets in this time frame, but that didn’t contribute to them getting slow in the powerplay.

SRH vs RR Best Players Prediction
Best Batter Prediction: Sanju Samson
The wicket-keeper batter of the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sanju Samson, has smashed the most runs against SRH in the IPL history with 801 runs in 23 innings at a strike rate of 136,69. He has four half-centuries and one century in the battle.

Due to his finger injury, Samson is not expected to keep wickets in the first three games. This has led the management to hand over the leadership duties to Riyan Parag. Samson could also play an impact substitute.
Best Bowler Prediction: Harshal Patel
Bowling at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium won’t be easy for the bowlers. But Harshal Patel, who has 21 IPL scalps against the Rajasthan Royals, could contribute at his best in the middle and death overs.
