In the last 13 IPL encounters at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, teams chasing the total has earned more victories (7) compared to the sides defending a total. The same conditions are expected in the SRH vs RR contest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Rajasthan Royals.
At the venue, the left-arm spinners enjoyed the conditions most with an economy rate of below six. The off-spinners also have a decent economy rate of 8.50. But the fast bowlers have struggled with an economy rate of more than ten. Last year, the surface was so much flat, making life incredibly hard for the bowlers.
SRH and RR’s batting performance in the death overs
Even though Sunrisers made a terrific start in the first six overs during IPL, their batting in the death overs was not up to the mark. The biggest reason for that was their losing so many wickets in the middle overs. Their strike rate of 167.47 was the third worst in the last five overs.

SRH also lost the third-most wickets (32) in the previous season. They were ahead in the number of sixes, but because of lack of wickets at the right time, they struggled to get the fire power at the back end. The management hope for a better show in the SRH vs RR encounter in the new season.
Rajasthan, on the other hand, had nearly a similar fate. Their strike rate of 173.05 was sixth among the ten franchises. They didn’t lose many wickets in the back end of the innings but still didn’t get the required firepower. Rajasthan can’t afford to go through the same issue, in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
