After seven years of playing for the Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for an incredible INR 11 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Since SRH already has a reliable opening duo at the top, Kishan, who often bats as an opener, could bat in the middle order.

The wicketkeeper-batter will try to make amends in the upcoming IPL season with a new team after a dismal IPL 2024 campaign. Heinrich Klaasen is already SRH's wicketkeeper, thus Kishan might be used as a batter.
