Josh Hazlewood’s return for the rest of the IPL 2025 has come as a huge boost for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Josh Hazlewood was punished for missing RCB's final IPL 2025 match due to a shoulder ailment.
With his national side playing South Africa in the ICC World Test Championship (WCT) Final next month in June, there were worries that the Australian bowler would miss the rest of the season as a result.
With 18 significant wickets this season, Hazlewood has been a vital component of the Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowling attack. The Australian pacer has regularly stepped up when things become tight, helping RCB win games.

Australia wants to focus on WTC Final
According to ESPNcricinfo, Cricket Australia is concentrating on preparing Josh Hazlewood for the Lord's WTC Final matchup with South Africa.
Australia is the reigning WTC champion, and Cricket Australia is focused on the impending final. Hazlewood's recuperation is being closely monitored to make sure he's healthy enough for the crucial game.
After being suspended for a week because of the India-Pakistan conflict, Australian cricket players are anticipated to return for the IPL 2025, which resumes on Saturday, May 17. A ceasefire between the two countries has permitted the event to resume after it was halted last Friday.
Cricket Australia leaves the decision of returning to IPL 2025 to its players
Over the weekend, the majority of Australian coaches, players, and pundits took flights home. Australia has since stated that they will have complete support regardless of whether they decide to spend the rest of the season back in India.
Notably, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Inglis, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood—five important Australian players in contention for the WTC Final—are also regulars in the IPL 2025. Head and Cummins play for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have three games remaining but are out of the postseason picture.
On the other hand, Inglis (Punjab Kings), Starc (Delhi Capitals), and Hazlewood (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) are still in contention for a spot in the playoffs.
