Imam-ul-Haq, the opener for Pakistan, has shared details about the dressing room secrets, prejudice toward non-Muslims, and the leadership style of Captain Muhammad Rizwan. Imam-ul-Haq's remarks coincide with Pakistan receiving harsh criticism for losing in the group round of the current ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The team captained by Mohammad Rizwan lost to Bangladesh and New Zealand to begin their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. In the first match of the competition, they were defeated by New Zealand by 60 runs. India, the Men in Green's bitter rivals, outplayed them in Dubai, losing by six wickets.

After losing to Team India, the reigning champions had little chance of advancing to the semi-finals. In the Group A match, they hoped Bangladesh would overcome New Zealand. But in Rawalpindi, New Zealand won by five wickets, guaranteeing their spot in the semi-finals alongside India.

On Thursday, February 27, Pakistan's hopes of ending their Champions Trophy campaign with a victory over Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium were dashed by persistent rain.

There are still questions about Mohammad Rizwan's leadership abilities, especially because Pakistan cricket is at a turning point after their early elimination.

Sare Ladh Rahe Hai Aapas Mein - Imam-ul-Haq on Pakistan's Leadership Struggles

Imam-ul-Haq made an appearance on the Ultra Edge podcast before the Champions Trophy. In the Pakistani dressing room, the left-handed batter was questioned about the captain. He said that everyone on the team was fighting among themselves after bursting into laughing.

“Who shall I name as a leader? Sare ladh rahe hai aapas mein (Everyone’s fighting among themselves),” Imam said.

Fakhar Zaman, who was declared out of the competition due to an injury sustained during the match against New Zealand, was replaced by Imam Ul Haq. Imam was run out against the Men in Blue after scoring just 10 runs off of 26 balls.

Mohammad Rizwan Restricts Non-Muslims, makes WhatsApp groups- Imam Ul Haq

Mohammad Rizwan is in charge of planning the team's religious events and preventing non-Muslims from visiting the authorized prayer places, according to Imam-ul-Haq. Additionally, he said that to arrange Namaz's timings, Rizwan set up WhatsApp groups.

"For now, I can say Rizzi (Rizwan). He arranges rooms in hotels, gathers everyone for Namaz, spreads white sheets [for prayers], and restricts non-Muslims from entering. He also makes WhatsApp groups for Namaz timings," Imam disclosed.

According to a previous report, ego conflicts over squad selection caused tensions between coach Mohammad Javed and player Mohammad Rizwan. According to reports, Javed supported Faheem Ashraf, while Rizwan supported Khushdil Shah.

There is a possibility that the team management would change after Pakistan's dismal Champions Trophy performance. Particularly following his lackluster 46 off 77 balls in the six-wicket defeat to India, Rizwan's leadership has come under fire.
