Former captain Mohammad Yousuf has been reportedly named the batting coach of the Pakistan team that will travel to New Zealand shortly. This has been reported by multiple Pakistani news outlets and former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif.

According to sources who spoke to Geo News on Monday, Pakistan is expected to make significant roster changes for the forthcoming five-match away T20I series against New Zealand, including resting key players and selecting a new captain.

Details indicate that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finished consulting on the white-ball teams for the national men's team's upcoming tour of New Zealand, which is set to take place from March 16 to April 5.

According to additional sources, Aqib Javed, a former pacer, is probably going to continue serving as the temporary head coach because the cricket board was unable to begin the hiring process in time.

Mohammad Yousuf revealed as new Pakistan batting coach

Azhar Mahmood and Muhammad Masroor are expected to remain as bowling and fielding coaches, respectively, while former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf is expected to take Shahid Aslam's place as batting coach.

The ODI team, which is expected to see some minor adjustments, will be captained by Pakistan's white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, according to reports.

However, the PCB intends to rest the older players, including white-ball skipper Rizwan, star batsman Babar Azam, vice-captain Salman Ali Agha, and bowler Naseem Shah, to give new and domestic players an opportunity. As a result, Pakistan's T20I team is anticipated to undergo a significant revamp.

Changes are anticipated for the forthcoming season in light of this subpar performance. Former cricket player Rashid Latif has announced his team for the five-match Twenty20 International series, excluding Naseem Shah and Babar Azam.

Additionally, he named Shadab Khan the new captain and left Mohammad Rizwan out of the T20I squad.

Star pacer Shaheen Afridi has been left off Rashid Latif's team for the ODI series against New Zealand. In contrast to the T20I squad, he has included Naseem Shah and Babar Azam. The team will be led by Muhammad Rizwan, with Salman Ali Agha, Abdullah Shafique, and Imam-ul-Haq also included.
