In an oblique jab at Virat Kohli, former Indian cricket player-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar made a daring assertion regarding Royal Challengers Bengaluru's incredible comeback in the current IPL 2025.

Manjrekar implied that, even if Virat Kohli had a key role in the team's success this season, RCB's success isn't about a single superstar anymore.

His scathing remarks followed Royal Challengers Bengaluru's six-wicket victory over the Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2025 match on Sunday, April 27, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. After their thrilling win over DC, RCB jumped to the top of the IPL 2025 points table with 14 points from 7 games.

Seven different players took the field and performed well for the team during these seven victories.

Manjrekar claimed that with seven victories and six different players emerging as game-changers in the ongoing IPL 2025, RCB's new formula is shedding the previous "one-man army" label.

The cricket analyst publicly stated that Royal Challengers Bengaluru's victory this season is the result of a team effort that is changing the team's record in the competition. Manjrekar noted that rather than relying on a single star like Virat Kohli, the team's strength now lies in its cohesiveness.

Sanjay Manjrekar posted, X: “RCB have finally found the winning formula. It’s not about one guy in the team. 7 wins, 6 different players’ of the match!”

Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya power RCB to the top of the IPL 2025 table

Regarding the DC vs. RCB game, Krunal Pandya helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru take the lead in the IPL 2025 points standings with an outstanding performance with the bat and the ball.

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, RCB dominated the Delhi Capitals in every area on a challenging, slow pitch. After 20 overs on the board, Delhi was only able to post 162 for 8. Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar shared five wickets between them.

The RCB had a rough start to their innings, stumbling to 26 for 3 in just four overs. At that point, Krunal Pandya took over.

Together with Virat Kohli, Krunal Pandya forged a huge 119-run stand for the fourth wicket. While Krunal produced a spectacular innings of 73* off 47 balls, Virat Kohli, who has been reliable all season, hit his sixth half-century and his fourth while chasing.

In the end, RCB needed just 18 runs off 13 deliveries after Kohli was out for 51 off 47 balls. At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Tim David then entered the game and completed the task with some swift boundaries, leading the RCB to victory against the DC with nine balls remaining.
