Pakistan is coming into the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh after the end of the PSL 2025. They didn’t enjoy a great time in both South Africa and New Zealand, due to successive series defeats.
However, it will be important for them to start their best preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. The Green Brigade won’t have the services of both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. That means the national side will lack experience in the T20I side.
Pakistan will begin the series against Bangladesh on May 28, 2025, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. All three encounters will take place at the same venue.

Openers- Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub
Both the left-handed batters, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub, are expected to open the batting for Pakistan in the series against Bangladesh at home. Zaman and Ayub are aggressive batters and will look to drill the visiting bowlers all around the park.
The 35-year-old has smashed 1848 runs in 84 T20I innings at an average of 22.81 and a strike rate of 132.94, thanks to 11 half-centuries at the best score of 91 runs.

Meanwhile, Ayub has had little success in the shortest format. In 25 innings, he has bashed 498 runs at an average of just below 22 and a strike rate of 137.95. He has celebrated only one half-century at the best score of unbeaten 98 runs. During the recently concluded PSL 2025, Ayub got 174 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 125.17.
Middle order- Mohammad Harris (wk), Hasan Nawaz, Salman Ali Agha (c), Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan
Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter, Mohammad Harris, at the age of just 24 years, has clubbed 191 runs in 14 T20I innings at a strike rate of 124.02. The top order of the side hasn’t earned the same success as the other teams.
It was a roller-coaster series for Hasan Nawaz in New Zealand. In five innings, he accumulated 106 runs at a strike rate of 185.96. However, out of those 106 runs, one innings was included of unbeaten 105 runs. Salman Ali Agha, the T20I captain, will need to shoulder the responsibility of the middle order.
Shadab Khan is also a veteran member of the shortest format who can contribute with the bat in the lower order. The right-handed batter has cracked 737 runs in 56 innings at a strike rate of nearly 140, besides bagging 108 wickets in 101 innings at an economy rate of 7.37, thanks to the best bowling figure of 4/9 in an innings.
Bowlers- Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Wasim.
Hasan Ali, who has collected 60 T20I wickets in 50 innings, can bowl with the new ball to extract swing. He was also in great touch during the recent PSL 2025 with 17 wickets in 10 innings at an economy rate of just over nine.
