After defeating Thailand in the World Cup Qualifiers, Pakistan advanced to the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, which will take place in India in September 2025. However, because of the ongoing political difficulties between the two countries, the Pakistani matches would not be played in India.

Pakistan defeated Ireland, Scotland, the West Indies, and Thailand in four straight games to guarantee their place in the Women's World Cup.

India to host Women's World Cup 2025

They promised to place in the top two of the table. Although they still have a game left against Bangladesh, it won't affect their ability to qualify for the tournament.

The dates of the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup are set for September 29–October 26.

Five cities—Indore, Mullanpur, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam—have been suggested by the BCCI to host the competition. These locations are still awaiting the ICC's final approval, nevertheless.

Pakistan dominated Thailand in WWC Qualifiers; Sana Mir stars with all-round show

Pakistan defeated Thailand handily in the Women's World Cup qualifying match. After deciding to bat first, captain Fatima Sana and Sidra Amin led the team to 205/6. With 80 runs, Sidra set the stage, and Sana followed with an undefeated 62. For the fifth wicket, the pair contributed an important 97 runs.

Thipatcha Putthawong of Thailand claimed two wickets. But in less than 35 overs, their batting crumbled to 118. No batter was able to contribute, but Nannapat Koncharoenkai led with 19. With three wickets apiece, Sana, Rameen Shamim, and Nashra Sandhu completed the victory.

Scotland and the West Indies are two other teams that are in the running. Scotland and the West Indies must defeat Ireland and Thailand by significant margins in order to qualify, and they must pray that Bangladesh loses against Pakistan badly enough to fall behind them in terms of net run rate.

Because of their net run rate advantage, Bangladesh may still make it to the World Cup even if they lose to Pakistan and Scotland and the West Indies win their last games.

Hosts India forced to adopt ICC hybrid model after Pakistan’s qualification

Pakistan's Women's World Cup qualification can present difficulties for the BCCI. The BCCI and PCB decided that India-Pakistan matches, including the women's tournaments, will take place at neutral locations prior to the Champions Trophy. India was not sent to Pakistan for the CT by the BCCI.

Notably, the 2024–2027 event cycle will see the implementation of this hybrid approach. It was first used at the Asia Cup in 2023. Matches between India and Pakistan will be played at a neutral location. A neutral location, most likely Sri Lanka or the United Arab Emirates, will host any prospective India-Pakistan conflict in the women's tournament.
