The movement of his lips indicated that Pandya had said "F*** off" in the heat of the moment, even though the stump mic didn't capture the precise words. In response, Sai gave a sharp stare of his own. In the middle of the field, the two players engaged in a heated staredown.

He’s a good friend of mine: R Sai Kishore on Hardik Pandya
During the post-match presentation, even the GT spinner downplayed the incident, referring to Hardik as a "good friend." "No love lost with Hardik?" remarked Sai in an interview with host broadcaster Ian Bishop following the GT vs. MI match in Ahmedabad.
“He’s a good friend of mine; inside the field, it should be like that. Inside the field, anybody is an opponent, but we don’t take things personally. We are good competitors. That's how I think the game should be,” Sai Kishore said.
Sai bowled well, conceding 37 runs in his four overs while taking one wicket. The GT spinner performed admirably during his period, applying significant pressure on the Mumbai Indians' middle and lower order by preventing Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav from making runs in the middle overs.
