When the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) picked Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma in the spin department for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, many addressed the decision as a wrong one. But the veteran left-arm spinner has stood out with various fantastic performances this year.

Bengaluru’s biggest issue for many previous seasons was their home venue, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where they couldn’t collect wins, and that created huge pressure on them. Bengaluru, this year, finished the group-stage fixtures unbeaten with seven wins. Jitesh Sharma’s contribution promotes him to the second position in the points table.

Virat Kohli has continued to grow with the bat over the last few seasons. When Phil Salt, the wicket-keeper opening batter, missed the campaign due to sickness, they found the right replacement in the form of Jacob Bethell on the side.
