Over 100 police personnel have been fired by Pakistan for failing to carry out their assigned responsibilities at the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. For such a significant competition, the nation's security setup made a significant decision.
Due to their carelessness in performing their jobs throughout the event, the security personnel who were fired were connected to several police branches. Teams traveling between Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and their lodgings were ordered to be secured by these police officers.
More than 100 police officers and officials have been fired from their positions, according to Punjab Police, after they were discovered to have neglected their duties or refused to carry them out during the competition.

Champions Trophy in safe hands - Federal minister
Any allegations of a threat in the present Champions Trophy were rejected by Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture. He thinks the nation will keep hosting the event in the same peaceful manner as it is now.
“I would like to state on record that Pakistan is peacefully and very ably hosting the ICC Champions Trophy. Our grounds are full, we have fans from all over the world, the crowds are jubilant, and our streets are filled with people who are celebrating the victory of cricket.” Attaullah was quoted as saying by Geo News.
Pakistan hosting their reputation too
After terrorists assaulted a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricket players in Lahore, Pakistan was denied access to international cricket for nearly ten years. Since then, many cricket matches have been canceled in the nation, forcing them to play their home matches in the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan has been knocked out of the Champions Trophy 2025 after losing their first two games to New Zealand and India respectively. They lost the first match to New Zealand by 60 runs and then lost to India by 6 wickets with 7.3 overs to spare.
