Shashank Singh, Punjab Kings batter, has revealed his all-time favorite IPL XI ahead of the IPL 2025 season. This all-time XI included some of the top players who have previously competed in the league.

Shashank was retained by Punjab Kings for INR 5.50 crore after he had a brilliant season in IPL 2024 with the bat. Shashank emerged as one of the shining lights for his team last season in a disappointing campaign for them.

To start the batting order, Shashank selected Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar. Additionally, Virat Kohli was selected as the unchallenged No. 3.

Suresh Raina and AB de Villiers, who were both excellent in their heyday, make up the middle order. The PBKS batter selected MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya for the finishing positions at No. 6 and 7, respectively, as was to be expected.

Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg spinner, was chosen by Shashank to be both his team's top spinner and his only one. He selected Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah as the team's two best fast bowlers. Surprisingly, Sandeep Sharma also made it to this list as Shashank branded him as an "underrated bowler."

Rohit Sharma is my dream captain: Shashank

Shashank, a batter for the Punjab Kings, has selected his favorite IPL skipper. It was surprising that he chose Rohit Sharma as his preference rather than Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni. Shashank said he has always admired Rohit's captaincy and wants to play under his tutelage.

In an interview on the 'Shubhankar Mishra' YouTube channel, Shashank Singh was asked who among MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma he thought was the finest IPL captain. Rohit's name was taken without hesitation by Shashank, who also disclosed why.

"Rohit (Sharma) bhai, because as I just said, I want to play under him. Mahi (MS Dhoni) bhai is obviously there, but I think that he will retire after some time. Rohit bhai might prolong his IPL career a little more," Shashank said.
