The YouTube channel of former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been suspended in India in the aftermath of the terror attack in Pahalgam.
In response to the horrific incident, the Indian government has begun implementing a series of strong measures against Pakistan.
The attack in Pahalgam tragically claimed the lives of approximately two dozen civilians. Shortly after the attack and the discovery of its links to Pakistan, the Indian government also terminated the Indus Water Treaty.
Furthermore, the government has directed Pakistani nationals residing in India to leave the country within 48 hours.
Alongside these actions, authorities are taking additional steps to curb the spread of misinformation and to restrict content deemed controversial and sensitive to certain communities.
India Blocks Shoaib Akhtar’s YouTube Channel
As part of these measures, over a dozen Pakistani YouTube channels have been blocked by the Indian government. Several major Pakistani news outlets have also been affected, including Dawn, Samaa TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, and Suno News.
In addition to these news channels, the Indian government has banned Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel. With over 3 million subscribers, Shoaib Akhtar's channel enjoyed significant popularity among Indian audiences.
When users in India attempt to access Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel, the following message now appears:
"This content is currently unavailable in this country because of an order from the government related to national security or public order."

PSL Broadcasting Halted in India
In another major development, Indian broadcasters FanCode and Sony Sports India have suspended coverage of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India.
The recent terror attack and the resulting diplomatic fallout are expected to severely impact cricketing ties between the two nations, further straining an already fragile relationship.
Since the 2012–13 season, India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral cricket series. Following the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, the Indian government initially suspended all bilateral cricketing relations with Pakistan.
India vs Pakistan bilateral cricket has ended
Although Pakistan toured India for a brief limited-overs series in 2012–13, the cricketing relationship quickly deteriorated thereafter.
Currently, the two rivals face each other only during multi-nation events such as the Asia Cup and ICC tournaments. Their most recent encounter took place in February this year during the Champions Trophy.
