Sourav Ganguly Involved In A Serious Car Accident On Durgapur Highway

Sourav Ganguly, former India captain and BCCI president survived a close call as his car met with an accident on the Durgapur Expressway in West Bengal. Ganguly was traveling to West Bengal to attend an event at the renowned Burdwan University.
Ganguly's automobile sustained minor damage after being struck by another vehicle on the road, but everyone was unharmed. He consequently had to wait on the road for around ten minutes before continuing on his journey to the institution.
Sourav Ganguly escapes unhurt from a car accident
Ganguly's convoy was abruptly overtaken by a lorry at Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway, causing his driver to abruptly use the brakes. As a result, the vehicles behind Ganguly's convoy collided. Ganguly's automobile was also struck by one of those vehicles.
On his way to Burdwan University, the former captain of India was unharmed, but his Range Rover sustained minor damage. After a few minutes, Ganguly was able to leave the scene since all of the people involved in the collision were determined to be safe.

Three cars were involved in the collision. Ganguly's convoy included the vehicle that was behind his vehicle. According to the accounts, when the truck attempted to pass his vehicle, the driver had no choice but to abruptly use the brakes.
Sana Ganguly, the daughter of Sourav Ganguly, was also in a tragic accident earlier this year when a bus struck her vehicle on Diamond Harbor Road in Kolkata. She emerged unharmed, though, and without any injuries.
Sourav Ganguly continues his journey despite the mishap
Sourav Ganguly made the decision to attend the planned event at Burdwan University in spite of the accident. He interacted well with both the students and the guests in attendance.
Along with sharing his own memories from his playing career, Ganguly also responded to a few queries and discussed the future of Indian cricket. Along with discussing their vocations, he gave the students insightful life lessons.
The former cricket player for India said he was happy to be at Burdwan University. He praised the district for generating elite cricket players and discussed the CAB's (Cricket Association of Bengal) longstanding relationship with the university.
“I am overwhelmed. It feels great to be in Burdwan. I am even more happy that you invited me. BDS (Burdwan Sports Association) was asking me to come for a long time. It feels great to be here today. CAB has been working with the Burdwan sports organization for 50 years. Many players have emerged from the district. We will have to recruit players from the district in the same way in the future as well” Ganguly said at the event.
Sourav Ganguly was recently seen in the Delhi Capitals' camp in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL). Ganguly is the Director of Cricket and is currently working with the DC women's team.
