The Superchargers were also the first team to be completely sold. It should be emphasized that the host counties retained a portion of the proceeds from the first five franchise sales. Superchargers were reportedly valued at £100 million.
There were two additional parties interested in purchasing the squad. Yorkshire will keep 80% of the proceeds from the sale of its 51% interest. It will net the club a profit of £40 million. Sun Group and Yorkshire must finalize the agreement within eight weeks of the Hundred sale.
Sanjay Patel, CEO of Yorkshire, expressed his joy and welcomed Sun Group to the Northern Superchargers. Patel asserted that the group respects the club's ideals and hopes to achieve tremendous success in the future.
