The controversy between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has taken a new turn after Telangana CM Revanth Reddy took a personal interest in the issue. This came after SRH made grave accusations against the HCA for the board's extortion of the free complimentary passes.

If this problem isn't fixed right away, Sunrisers also intend to move their home venue to another state. Srinath TB, general manager of Sunrisers Hyderabad, has blamed the HCA and its president.

All is not well between SRH and HCA

"All these unprofessional threats and actions by HCA, especially by the HCA president, make it evident that you don't want Sunrisers to play at your stadium. If that is the case, please let me know in writing so that we can inform BCCI, the Telangana government, and our management that you wish for us to move to another venue, and we will move,” Srinath wrote in an email.

According to the speculations, Sunrisers Hyderabad may not play their home games at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium during the current tournament and are seriously thinking of leaving Hyderabad.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy asked to intervene in the SRH v HCA controversy

The honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, was compelled to step in and order an investigation into the situation. Additionally, SRH has requested that the cricket governing bodies step in and stop the HCA's tactics.

In a letter to the IPL Governing Council and the BCCI, SRH asserted that the HCA was threatening the team by giving out more free tickets to IPL games.

According to a source, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has requested that this case be investigated and that, should the HCA be found guilty, severe action be taken against them.

"The Chief Minister has ordered Vigilance Chief Kothakota Srinivas to inquire into allegations. He has asked Srinivas to initiate stern action on HCA members if found guilty," the source was quoted as saying by Times Now.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are in trouble after a record win in the first match of IPL 2025

With one victory and two losses, Sunrisers Hyderabad is presently ranked seventh in the standings. Despite finishing as runners-up the previous season, they haven't had the best start to the current campaign.

Concerns were raised about SRH's too aggressive batting style when they won the opening game but lost the next two.

With Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma both going haywire, they have a devastating batting lineup in the IPL. Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who are in the middle order, are capable of destroying any bowling attack in the world.

In the huge auction, they also acquired Ishan Kishan, who reacted with a magnificent century in the opening match. Their discovery of the season thus far has been young Aniket Verma.
