Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, fresh from India’s T20I series win over England, have given a massive boost to the Mumbai team, as they confirmed their availability for their quarter-final clash of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 against Haryana at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli.

Suryakumar Yadav will return to domestic cricket after India's T20I duties concluded with a 4-1 series win over England at home since he was not selected for India's upcoming ODI series or the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 alongside Shivam Dube.

Suryakumar Yadav played only one Ranji game this season because of national team commitments. However, the flamboyant batter represented Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before returning to the Indian cricket team for the England series.

Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav, who are not part of India's ODI plans, agreed to play for Mumbai in the present Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Their comeback is a significant boost for the Mumbai team, but Suryakumar had an extremely terrible T20I series against England.

His scores in the recent T20I series against England were 0, 14, 12, 0, and 2. Shivam Dube, on the other side, was impressive with the bat, scoring fifty in the Pune T20I and adding 30 runs in the fifth and final T20I, which the hosts won by 150 runs at the Wankhede Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai cricket team is presently second in the Group A points table with 29 points, trailing only Jammu and Kashmir, which leads the standings with 35 points after defeating Baroda in the last group match last week.
