The One Day International (ODI), at its start, was the most popular format of the game and drew the largest crowds in various stadiums. Because of the World Cups, it always has a different charm and excitement for 100 overs across two innings.

In this format, six-hitting has become a competition for the players. Generally, the opening batters get the best stage and the most number of deliveries to get the big shots to celebrate huge knocks.

Here are the top 10 cricketers with the most sixes in ODIs

1. Shahid Afridi (ICC/Pakistan)

Shahid Afridi, the former captain of the Pakistan side, is at the top with 351 sixes in the 50-over format. He achieved the record in 369 innings with 8064 runs at an average of 23.57 and a strike rate of 117, shouldering six centuries and 39 fifties.

Afridi opened the innings towards the start of his career, and that gave him the chance to play most balls and get set to nail the big shots.
