Varun Chakaravarthy To Make India ODI Debut In Nagpur; India’s 1st Choice Wicketkeeper Between Rishabh Pant And KL Rahul Confirmed

Varun Chakravarthy is set to make his India debut in ODIs, when the Men in Blue clash with England in the first of three ODIs in Nagpur. Also, Rishabh Pant is set to pip KL Rahul as the first-choice keeper-batter in India XI keeping Champions Trophy 2025 in mind.

Varun Chakravarthy was added to the team following his outstanding performance in the T20I series against the England National Cricket Team. The spinner took 14 wickets in the five-match series, the most by any Indian bowler in a T20I series. He also won the Player of the Series title.

Varun Chakravarthy was spotted exercising with the Indian National Cricket Team in Nagpur ahead of the first ODI. He was observed bowling for more than an hour, and his participation in the roster sparked speculation over whether he would be selected for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

However, according to RevSportz, Varun Chakravarthy is in contention for a spot in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 squad. However, the mystery spinner must meet a specific condition.

According to reports, Varun Chakravarthy has been added to the England ODI squad because team management wants to test his fitness for the final time in 50-over cricket. If everything goes well, he will be added to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 roster around February 11th.

Varun Chakravarthy has stood out after rejoining the team. Although he has just played T20Is, he has looked dangerous with the ball. Varun Chakravarthy is yet to make his debut for the India National Cricket Team in the ODIs.
