Kohli was one of the modern-day greats
Kohli made his Test debut in 2011 and has consistently lit up the stage throughout his career. His desire to play Test cricket was a highlight of his career. He pushed himself to play the format and influenced the culture of the Indian Test team as well.
Kohli scored 9230 runs from 123 matches, at an average of 46.85. His tally also comprised 30 centuries and 31 fifties, with the highest score being 254. It remains to be seen whether he plays county cricket. With him announcing his retirement, it appears improbable that he would play red ball cricket.
