Out-of-favour Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has revealed that Karachi Kings cricketer Hassan Ali and Quetta Gladiators’ Abrar Ahmed got into a fistfight during their team’s recent Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) match in Lahore.

This came as a shock for the Pakistan team cricket lovers as it is rare to see players of the Men in Green fighting amongst themselves.

However, there might be a reason why Hasan and Abrar fought, as the pacer was seen mocking the spinner’s celebration during one of the Karachi Kings’ matches against Quetta in Karachi.

Hasan Ali created the viral moment

Hasan Ali's dismissal of Abrar Ahmed in the 19th over of Quetta's innings, followed by his trademark exaggerated head nod that went viral in previous Pakistani games, was one of the most talked-about moments.

When Hasan Ali bowled a full delivery on leg-stump in the 18.4 over, the moment came. After stumbling across, Abrar attempted a reckless swing but completely missed it, letting the ball smash into the leg stump. What came next was sheer amusement.

"Oye..." shouted Hasan Ali, who then broke into Abrar's well-known head-tilting celebration, raising eyebrows and swaying from side to side, mimicking the "What happened now?" motion. He then approached and gave the young spinner a hug while grinning broadly.

Ahmed Shehzad reveals that Hasan Ali and Abrar Ahmed fought

During a Geo TV sports show, Ahmed Shehzad was conversing with the anchor and revealed that Abrar Ahmed and Hasan Ali got into a physical fight and had to be separated by other players and personnel.

He also thanked that no video was leaked of the incident, and that Ravi Bopara came out to take the leading wicket-taker cap during the match presentation after Hassan Ali skipped the event.

“It is a matter that I have come to know that yesterday in the match, two boys fought. I have heard that yesterday Hasan Ali and Abrar fought. It is true. Yes, I have heard and with great enthusiasm. People are saying that this is a good thing. Hasan Ali is an energetic man."

"He is often seen joking around on the ground. Abrar is not thought to be so jovial. It could be that it is a love-related fight or a serious matter. When the third person has to be separated, then that love-related fight has to be separated. It is a good thing that no video has come out, but the people who were present there are confirming it,” Ahmed Shehzad stated.
