Watch- CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad And Khaleel Ahmed Accused Of Ball Tampering

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Khaleel Ahmed and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad were accused by a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fan of ball tampering in their IPL 2205 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23.

In the third match of the ongoing IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by four wickets on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Surprisingly, fans have been claiming that the ball was changed as early as the second delivery of the second innings.

MI was put into bat by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad who won the toss. However, the CSK bowling lineup kept the MI batting in check on a spin-friendly pitch. Tilak Varma scored 31, Suryakumar Yadav made 29 and Deepak Chahar’s 28 pushed MI total to 155/9 in 20 overs.

Noor Ahmad took 4/18 and Khaleel Ahmed took 3/29 for the CSK team.

In response, Rachin Ravindra made 65*, while Ruturaj played a quick knock of 53 in 26 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Though Vignesh Puthur picked three wickets in the middle, CSK won the game comfortably by 5 wickets.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Khaleel Ahmed accused of ball tampering

On social media, several supporters are accusing the Chennai Super Kings of tampering with the ball during their match versus MI in the 2025 Indian Premier League. They have flooded social media, questioning whether CSK deliberately manipulated the ball after CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and pacer Khaleel Ahmed were caught doing something with the ball near the boundary rope in Chennai.

Before the left-arm pacer was scheduled to bowl, Khaleel Ahmed and CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad were seen exchanging something in a social media video that went viral.

When the pacer removed something from Khaleel's left jeans pocket, Ruturaj was seen approaching him in the video. When they weren't facing the camera, the CSK captain was conversing with each other while holding the ball.

When they reached the camera, Khaleel grabbed the ball from Ruturaj and gave it to the captain of CSK. After leaving, Ruturaj was observed slipping something into his pocket.
