The Karachi Kings will be led by David Warner in the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025). However, it seems like David Warner is already miffed with the preparation arrangements done by his franchise.

He caused some drama before the Australian star's eagerly awaited PSL debut when he first skipped the captain's meeting and then walked out of the nets in annoyance.

David Warner skips PSL captains' media meet-up

David Warner, the captain of the Karachi Kings, did not attend the Pakistan Super League 2025 captains' conference, leaving only five of the six team leaders present.

Speaking on behalf of their franchises were Muhammad Rizwan of the Multan Sultans, Shaheen Afridi of the Lahore Qalandars, Babar Azam of Peshawar Zalmi, Shadab Khan of Islamabad United, and Saud Shakeel of the Quetta Gladiators.

Hasan Ali, their new vice-captain, represented the Karachi Kings. The Karachi Kings' intra-squad practice match was the cause of Warner's absence. The daring opener chose to concentrate on a crucial intra-squad practice match rather than go to the captain's meeting.

Warner determined it would be best to use this time to examine his team more closely in preparation for their opening match in the forthcoming PSL 2025, as the team's training session the previous day had been canceled. However, the skipper of the Karachi Kings was just disappointed.

Warner gets angry at the pitch conditions for practice, storms off the nets mid-way

Warner walked off the nets after complaining about the pitch conditions, escalating tensions at the Karachi Kings' training camp. A green surface was provided to Warner, who reportedly insisted on a flat track for practice before the PSL 2025, which infuriated the captain.

Warner's abrupt and startling departure has sparked concerns about team cohesion and preparations for their Pakistan Super League 2025 debut against the Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on April 12.
