Marcus Stoinis, the burly Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder, is known for his brutal batting and during their recent IPL 2025 game against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad, hit a big six, causing huge hurt to someone.

The Punjab Kings, who were asked to bat first, had an incredible performance, scoring 243/5 runs. The Shreyas Iyer-led side put forth a team effort with the bat, with the majority of the batters doing admirably. Shreyas Iyer top-scored with 97* and Shashank Singh provided finishing touches with 44* in 15 balls.

Marcus Stoinis, an all-rounder for the Australian National Cricket Team, contributed significantly. The right-hander stepped out to bat at six and provided excellent assistance for skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was on fire at the other end.

Marcus Stoinis delighted the audience with some outstanding shots. During his innings, the all-rounder blasted two sixes, one of which struck a female security guard who was crossing the stadium's boundary ropes and hurt her.

Marcus Stoinis was quick to read the length of the ball when Mohammed Siraj bowled a length delivery on the second ball of the fifteenth over. The all-rounder for the Australian National Cricket Team struck a security official on her leg after playing the pull flat over deep mid-wicket.

In the end, Marcus Stoinis played a respectable hand of 20 runs off 15 balls. The Punjab Kings batsman hit one four and two sixes while batting at a strike rate of over 133. With ease, Punjab reached 200 runs thanks to the all-rounder's innings.

GT gives a good chase, but falls short by 11 runs in the end

Meanwhile, facing a staunch target of 244 runs, GT started well, with Sai Sudarshan scoring 74 runs and Shubman Gill scoring 33 runs. They added 61 runs in the powerplay for the first wicket. Then Jos Buttler made 54 and Sherfane Rutherford made 46 runs.

However, the Punjab Kings' bowling was to the point as Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets, and impact player Vijaykumar Vyshak bowled 3 overs for just 28 runs and kept the dangerous Rutherford quiet. GT finished on 232/5 in their 20 overs.

GT will next face MI at home on March 29, while PBKS will travel to Lucknow to face LSG on April 1.
