Watch- MS Dhoni Shocks Dwayne Bravo By Calling Him A ‘Traitor’

Before their IPL 2025 matchup against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) colleagues MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo got back together. The video went viral after Dhoni called Bravo "the traitor" when he greeted him after he left the Super Kings to take a position as bowling coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Dwayne Bravo and MS Dhoni have been teammates with the Chennai Super Kings for a number of seasons. Bravo served as CSK's representative twice, from 2011 to 2015 and again from 2018 to 2022. Following his retirement, the former all-rounder coached CSK's bowling in the 2023 and 2024 IPL seasons.

‘The traitor is here’- MS Dhoni greets Dwayne Bravo

Ahead of the match between the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, MS Dhoni was batting in the nets during a practice session at Chepauk. Dhoni saw Dwayne Bravo, a former teammate of his from CSK, coming up.

The wicketkeeper-batter said, “The traitor is here,” before Bravo replied, “Life is so unfair.”

CSK fans were in awe when Bravo greeted all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja following the swap. The Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 Indian Premier League are currently being coached by the former West Indian all-rounder.

After regular captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined for the season due to an elbow fracture, Dhoni will captain the Chennai Super Kings in the 2025 Indian Premier League. The team will be led by the seasoned batsman-wicketkeeper during a difficult time.

CSK will try to resume their winning ways now that Dhoni is back in charge. He will face the Kolkata Knight Riders in his debut test as captain. On Friday, April 11, the game will be played at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Dwayne Bravo preps himself before meeting MS Dhoni; gets teased by CSK captain

Dwayne Bravo made a joke about not expecting to see Dhoni at practice and thinking he would have to pay him a visit at the hotel in a video that the Kolkata Knight Riders shared on X (previously Twitter). The clever Dhoni responded that he thought Bravo would not attend an optional session.

"I didn't know you had come, man. I thought I was gonna have to come to your hotel to see you. I didn't see you at first," Bravo said.

"I thought you didn't come for an optional session," Dhoni replied.

Despite winning their first game, CSK dropped their next four straight. They are in ninth place in the 10-team points standings with only one victory in five games.

The sixth-place Kolkata Knight Riders, their rivals, have also struggled with consistency. KKR has had trouble gaining winning momentum since losing its season opener.
