Watch- MS Dhoni Steals IPL’s Robot Dog After LSG vs CSK Match

Despite his dislike of displaying too much emotion on the field, MS Dhoni was unable to resist enjoying a few humorous moments with the robotic dog during Monday's (April 14) IPL 2025 match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow.

Speaking of the match, CSK, captained by MS Dhoni, defeated LSG by five wickets to earn a much-needed victory. CSK's five-match losing streak came to an end with the victory. This season, they have only won twice in seven games.

After defeating the Mumbai Indians to start the season, the five-time champions went on to lose five straight games. Because of his overall performance, MS Dhoni was named the Player of the Match. Prior to making a game-winning appearance, the World Cup-winning captain had three dismissals.

After winning the toss, MS Dhoni announced that CSK would bowl first. With 63 runs (4 fours and 4 sixes), Rishabh Pant burst into form, and LSG reached 166/7 in 20 overs, thanks to Mitchell Marsh (30), Ayush Badoni, and Abdul Samad. Matheesha Pathirana and Ravindra Jadeja of CSK each claimed two wickets.

Rachin Ravindra (27) and Shaikh Rasheed (37) responded with a 52-run partnership for CSK. However, they were eliminated one after the other by Avesh Khan and Aiden Markram, and Ravi Bishnoi then replaced Rahul Tripathi and Ravindra Jadeja with single-digit scores. Prior to his ejection, Vijay Shankar also scored just nine runs.

To help CSK win, Shivam Dube contributed 57 unbroken runs for the sixth wicket with MS Dhoni, scoring 43* in 37 balls with three fours and three sixes. As CSK won the match by five wickets in the final over, the seasoned captain scored 26* with four fours and one six. Additionally, MS Dhoni received the Player of the Match award.

In order to improve the tournament's broadcasting, the robotic dog was included this season. Since its launch, the most recent technical advancement has drawn interest from players and others. The robotic camera dog also piqued MS Dhoni's curiosity and won him over.

With his antics with the robot dog, he left the fans inconsolable. Upon encountering the dog on the field, the seasoned batsman-wicketkeeper amusingly picked it up and placed it on the ground. He turned the dog over on the field so it couldn't move.

Dhoni and the dog experienced another cute moment after the game. He was observed socializing with the dog and shaking hands with it.

Afterward, he scooped it up and carried it with him. The CSK captain, however, hilariously placed the dog behind the billboard rather than carrying it to the dressing room.
