The base of the story was the afternoon game between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Gujarat Titans at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihar Vajpayee Ekhana Stadium when Nicholas Pooran nailed a huge six at one of the fans.

His wound was still dressed when he arrived during the Super Giants’ practice session on the eve of the game between Lucknow and the Delhi Capitals at the same ground.

Nicholas Pooran, especially for the fan, signed a special cap and delivered it to him. He also asked him if he was alright after taking the blow to his head.

The fans acknowledged the gesture from the star batter. Nabeel, the fan, said that he would always want the franchise to keep winning no matter what happens.

“Badhiya. Pooran sir ne call karwaayi thi. Main aaya, main mila, mulaqaat hui. Poocha, sab khairiyat? Sab theek? Kal main aa raha hoon dekhne. Chakka aa jaaye, sar phoot jaaye, koi dikkat nahin hai. Lekin apni Lucknow ki team jeetti rehni chahiye. Us din hamaari team jeeti thi, yeh baat ki khushi hai. Apni yeh team, trophy ki dream.” He revealed.

Nicholas Pooran’s beast mode in IPL 2025

Nicholas Pooran is currently the second-leading run-getter of the tournament so far. The southpaw has collected 368 runs in eight innings at an average of 52.57 and a strike rate of 205.58, shouldering four half-centuries at the best score of 87*.

He started the tournament on a bang with two successive half-centuries to his name. Against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in the afternoon fixture, he nailed his highest score to keep the Kolkata bowlers at bay.

Whether it’s against the pacers and the spinners, he has always shown incredible timing and rhythm with the free flow of the bat to drill the big shots. He is one of the reasons behind Luckow Super Giants doing well in the batting department.

Nicholas Pooran’s two struggling knocks saw the Rishabh Pant-led side finding it hard to tackle the spinners in the middle overs. That proves his importance in the batting department.
