The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has done a massive disrespect to neighbors India as it was observed that the Indian tricolor was missing from the row of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 participating nations as PCB held the curtain raiser events in Lahore and Karachi Stadiums.
CT 2025 is scheduled to begin on February 19 and is expected to conclude on March 9. The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will use a hybrid format. Accordingly, Pakistan will host all of the teams' games except for India.
Controversy before the CT opener
In contrast, the team captained by Rohit Sharma will play all of its games at Dubai's Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Additionally, if they make it to the final, the game will take place in a Gulf nation; if not, Pakistan will host it.
BCCI and PCB at odds over the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Due to the problems involving the BCCI and PCB, the ICC Champions Trophy has been in the news for the past few months. After much debate between the two boards on the tournament's scheduling and location, the hybrid model was finally decided upon.
The captain's meeting then became the subject of yet another scandal and the BCCI made it clear that Rohit Sharma will not be traveling to Pakistan for the captain's news conference. There were discussions about moving the event to Dubai, but Pakistan objected, therefore the ICC decided to call off the captain's meeting.
No Indian flag amongst the Champions Trophy participating nations' flags at Lahore and Karachi Stadium
With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 just around the corner, a new controversy has arisen. A video has emerged from Karachi's National Stadium, where New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and England will face off in the competition.
All of the aforementioned nations' flags, as well as those of hosts Pakistan, were visible flying high at Karachi's National Stadium, although the Indian flag was not present. This startled fans on social media and sparked a heated debate, with many criticizing the PCB.
No Indian flag in Karachi: As only the Indian team faced security issues in Pakistan and refused to play Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan, the PCB removed the Indian flag from the Karachi stadium while keeping the flags of the other guest playing nations.

The specific reason for the Indian flag's absence from the National Stadium in Karachi is unknown, however, it is considered to be related to India's Champions Trophy matches being played in Dubai.
